Hello, Bates families –

It’s been a beautiful Short Term here on campus. We are bidding farewell to your students and hope they will have a restful summer. 

We have a few important items to share as we head into the next few months:

• Students who will return for the 2023-24 academic year have received reminders to complete the enroll/waive process for the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) in the Garnet Gateway by May 31. Note that if your returning student does not complete this process by May 31, a fee will be placed on their student account, and they will be enrolled in the SHIP. For more information please see this update.
• We hope you will save the date for Back to Bates: Family Weekend on Oct. 6-7, 2023! As always we encourage you to make plans for lodging and local dining early for this busy weekend.
• Would you like to become more engaged with Bates in a meaningful way? Our team works with volunteers in a variety of roles: hosting in-person or virtual events, welcoming new families, serving as parent-to-parent resources on Arrival Day, serving on the Parents Fund Committee or on the Senior Parent Gift Committee, and more. Current parent volunteers share that they love making a difference at Bates. Let us know if you’d like to discuss getting more involved in the way that works best for you.
