Greetings from campus, Bates families – 

Now that the snow is melting and blue skies are returning after last week’s storm, we’re headed into the final week of the winter semester! As your students prepare for exams, we have a few updates for you.

• Final exams run from Tuesday, April 16 to Monday, April 22. After the final day of exams, residence halls remain open only for students staying for Short Term. All other students must move out no later than Tuesday, April 23 at 5 p.m.
• Families of continuing students applying for renewal of Bates financial aid must complete their materials by Wednesday, May 1.
• As students navigate the end of a semester, caring for personal well-being is especially important. Bates identifies nine dimensions of well-being, including academic, mental, physical, and social. Find out more about Well-Being at Bates and the array of ways students can meet their needs through on-campus resources and student-developed strategies.

Did you know? You can livestream concerts held in the Olin Arts Center Concert Hall. No matter how far from campus you may be, tune in for upcoming music concerts or check out past performance recordings.

Whether your student will be wrapping up the semester and on their way home soon, preparing for a summer internship or research opportunity, or staying on campus for Short Term, we hope they – and you! – are looking forward to the weeks ahead.
