Hello, Bates Class of 2024 Families –

We are excited to let you know that Bates has just announced the 2024 honorand class! 

The following individuals will receive honorary degrees from Bates on Sunday, May 26 at the Class of 2024’s Commencement ceremony:

Richard Blanco (National Humanities Medal-winning poet)
Mary Louise Kelly (Author, journalist, host of NPR’s “All Things Considered”)
Clayton Spencer (Eighth president of Bates College)

Mary Louise Kelly will serve as our commencement speaker. The Class of 2024 senior speaker has not yet been announced.
