Preparing you and your seniors for spring – and beyond

Hello, Bates Class of 2025 Families –

Here on campus, we see the early signs of spring: ducks returning to the Puddle, the first flowers budding outside of Hathorn Hall, and students switching out their winter boots for lighter footwear.

With spring on the horizon, we know Commencement Weekend is on its way as well! We have a few updates for you and reminders for your seniors:

  • Students have received communication about the annual senior survey, which must be completed by Wednesday, April 2.This survey includes important information for students regarding their mailing address for post-Commencement communication.
  • Students have been notified by the Office of the Registrar that because grades and Latin honors are not finalized until after Commencement, starting this year, all graduates will receive a Bates diploma cover when they cross the Coram stage, and official diplomas will be mailed to the student address of record in early June. Access to electronic transcripts remains unchanged. See the full update at the Commencement FAQ.
  • Show your excitement by downloading Bobcat lawn signs and social media frames, or be one of the first to offer your well wishes for your grads and the Class of 2025.

In the months ahead, our team will continue providing you with the information you need as we prepare to celebrate your seniors!

With best regards,
The Bates Parent Team
