In the summer of 2022, Bates will hold a series of in-person and virtual welcome events for Class of 2026 families.

Invitations are sent to incoming parents and guardians via email. You can expect to recieve an overview invitation for all events, as we know that families often travel during the summer and may find it convenient to attend an in-person event in a different area from where they live. We also know that families may find it easier to attend a virtual event on a night that suits their schedule rather than choosing the one for their geographic area.

Virtual Welcome Series

Our virtual welcome events provide incoming families with a parent-to-parent perspective on the Bates experience. Hosts are current Bates families based in the areas below to help provide the best answers to questions you might have.

In-Person Welcome Series

Our in-person events are hosted by current families and provide an opportunity for incoming families and their students to get to know other Bobcats from their area. Please watch for your email invitation.

Family Orientation Webinars

Once classes begin, we will hold a series of incoming family orientation webinars designed to help you support your students as they navigate life at Bates. These events feature panelists from across campus who will provide an overview of the many resources in place to support your students in their first year and beyond.
