Exempt Employees (Faculty, Administrative and Professional Staff)
Exempt employees are paid on a monthly pay cycle. Exempt paydays occur on the second Thursday of each month. for the current calendar month. The actual date when the monthly employee receives their paycheck will vary, but will always be on the second Thursday of each month.
Example: An exempt employee receives pay on the second Thursday in March for work done between March 1st. and March 31st.
If an exempt employee leaves employment before the month ends, they may owe the college for those days paid but not worked.
Nonexempt Employees
Nonexempt staff are paid bi-weekly every other Thursday. Each paycheck will include earnings for all work performed through the end of the previous payroll period. Pay periods end on the Saturday prior to each payday. There are 26 pay periods during a calendar year for nonexempt employees.
Student Employees
Students are paid bi-weekly every other Thursday. Each paycheck will include earnings for all work performed through the end of the previous payroll period. Pay periods end on the Saturday prior to each payday. There are 26 pay periods during a calendar year for student employees.
