Greg A. Ehret has been Chief Executive Officer and an Executive Director of PineBridge Investments since January 2016. PineBridge is a global asset manager that focuses on active, high-conviction investing.

As an experienced executive with over 25 years in the industry, Greg has a well-established track record of growing a global business across both developed and emerging markets. Prior to joining PineBridge, Greg was President of State Street Global Advisors (SSGA), the investment management arm of State Street Corporation. A 20-year veteran of SSGA, Greg served as Global Chief Operating Officer from 2012 to 2015. He previously served as Head of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), having moved to London in 2007 to assume the role of Head of Sales and Distribution in EMEA. He has held a number of other executive positions in operations, sales, and product development, including serving as head of SSGA’s SPDR ETF business.

As a student at Bates, Greg played on the lacrosse and rugby teams and spent a semester studying in England. He majored in economics. He earned an M.B.A. from Boston University in 1999.

Greg is married to Barbara and they live in Boston, Mass., with their two sons, Paul and Cole ’23.
