Bates College welcomes employer visits to campus and can accommodate a number of different ways to reach out to our students. In addition to posting jobs on Handshake, our online recruiting database, many employers visit Bates for more personal interaction with students.

Information Sessions

Information sessions offer recruiters a chance to provide formal and informal presentations about job opportunities and the culture of their company.  We are happy to accommodate employers during the day or in the evening for information sessions with students.

Interviews

Working with employers, the Center for Purposeful Work supports on campus interviews by promoting opportunities, collecting resumes and scheduling interviews.  We provide interview space on campus, and are also happy to help coordinate phone and/or video interviews.

Career Fairs

Bates does not currently host a formal career fair on campus, however, we participate in the Liberal Arts Recruiting Connection (LARC) in Boston and the Selective Liberal Arts Consortium with virtual interview days in the fall and on site in New York City and Washington DC .
