Interviews

Health professions schools interview applicants who they believe have the credentials to succeed at their school. This decision is based on your Committee Letter, individual letters, primary application, test scores, and secondary application. The nature of the interview process varies from school to school. Some schools do individual interviews, others offer the “Multiple Mini Interviews” or MMI. In addition to the interview/s, your interview day will usually include other activities such as a tour of the facilities, a meal, and a chance to talk to current students. The health professions school will provide you with additional information prior to your interview day.

Admissions committees meet regularly throughout the application cycle and offer interviews to students with complete applications. Completing your application early will increase your chances of being interviewed earlier in the cycle. However, even if your applications are finished early, invitations to interviews can come at any point in the cycle, which runs roughly from late August through April.
