Transcript Requests
Submit a Request Online:
We have partnered with Parchment, Inc. to process transcript requests. Please click the link below, select “Ordering your own credentials or academic records” and follow the system prompts.
Order my Official Transcript
Utilizing the Parchment service, current students and alumni may order their official transcript to be sent via secure pdf or via US Mail (processed by the Bates Registrar’s Office). Transcripts sent via secure pdf are generally sent within two hours of submitting your order. Transcripts to be mailed via US Mail are generally posted within 2-3 days of receipt of your order.
Students with Garnet Gateway credentials may alternatively order an official transcript(s) online through the Garnet Gateway using your Bates ID and pin. Simply log into the Garnet Gateway and click on the “Transcripts” link.
Cost
Bates is pleased to offer transcript services to students, alumni, and former students at no charge.
Verification that your transcript has been sent
Due to the large volume of transcript requests, we ask that requestors do not contact our office to confirm receipt of a request or date the transcript was mailed. Please confirm receipt of the transcript with the person to whom the transcript was mailed rather than with our office. The status of transcripts ordered through Parchment may be viewed in your Parchment account.
Unofficial Transcripts
Current students with access to the Garnet Gateway may view or print unofficial copies of their transcript via the Garnet Gateway.
End of Semester Transcript Requests and Grading Policy
We recommend that students check their deadlines carefully and order official transcripts early. If a deadline falls during registration, end of semester, or graduation, please allow extra time.
