Can I print my CeDiploma?
The CeCredential has printing disabled as a security feature. A Certified Electronic Diploma or CeDiploma is for electronic use only. A CeDiploma can be viewed and shared electronically. Your CeCredential is official as long as it is in its original form.
Can I download the CeDiploma and send it by email to others?
Yes, you can download your CeDiploma, and email it to anyone.
How soon after I graduate can I download my CeDiploma?
The CeDiploma will be available approximately 4 to 6 weeks after your degree has been posted to your record. You will receive an email when your CeDiploma is available for download.
How can I confirm the CeDiploma is valid?
There are two ways to validate a certified electronic credential:
- Validate on Bates’ ced validation page.
- When viewed with Adobe Reader or Acrobat 9.0 or higher*, the digital signature will be visible at the top of the window. This indicates that the document has not been modified since first created and is therefore authentic.
* Please note: Other PDF/digital readers and some mobile devices may not be able to read the Digital Signature.
How do I add the CeDiploma to LinkedIn

The Adobe trusted certificates may be out of date. In order to ensure that your digital signature can be properly read, you must make update your AATL trusted certificates in the Trust Manager of Adobe Reader or Acrobat.
To do this in Adobe Acrobat DC, go to Edit => Preferences => Trust Manager. Then, in the section for Automatic Adobe Approved Trust List (AATL) updates, click the Update Now button.
