Androscoggin Riverwalk
Introduce yourself to the heart of Lewiston-Auburn with a peaceful walk or run along the 1.5 mile Riverwalk, part of the Androscoggin Greenway.

Bates–Morse Mountain Conservation Area
Comprising 574-acres of conserved rare salt marshes and dune beach ecologies, as well as the college’s Coastal Center at Shortridge field research facility, the BMMCA is open to the public. The walk is 4 miles round-trip on paved and dirt roads with about 500 feet of elevation gain. Please note: dogs are not allowed in any season.

Traquina Boathouse
Opened in fall 2016, the Traquina Boathouse is the training facility for the college’s highly successful rowing teams. Since 1995, the teams have produced 22 All-American rowers and two Olympians, and have recently clinched four straight NCAA National Championships!

Thorncrag Nature Sanctuary
