Jessica graduated from the University of New England with her bachelor’s in Marine Science with minors in Chemistry and Aquaculture & Aquarium Science. She comes to Bates from Yale University, where she was a Research Assistant assisting in the animal colonies used in critical care pediatrics research. Here at Bates, Jessica works with faculty in Biology, Neuroscience, and Biological Chemistry in the development of protocols and experiments involving animals as part of the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC). In this capacity, Jessica provides annual training for students, faculty, and staff using animals for research or teaching.
