The Department of Sociology at Bates College and Advocates for Children, in collaboration with the Androscoggin Collaborative presented a Series of Documentary Screenings raising awareness of the importance of early childhood and youth, and taking action for a better future for all children.
Paper Tigers

Paper Tigers is a compelling new documentary that explores the impact of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and captures the transformation of struggling teens as teachers use the latest developmental science and trauma-informed approaches to break the cycle of adversity in their lives.
Raising America
The Raising America Series is a multi-part documentary series that explores the question: Why are so many children in American faring so poorly? What are the consequences for the nation’s future? How might we, as a nation do better?
