AVC: Ceramic Studio Assistant (S9975C)
Summary, Scope, and Responsibilities
The Ceramic Studio Assistant is responsible for maintaining the ceramic studio areas, including the kiln room and glaze kitchen. Light cleaning and organization of the ceramic areas, as well as periodic mixing of the class glazes and slips will be the primary responsibilities. The assistant will also be responsible for collection and storage of waste clay/materials, supervision of electric kiln firings, and possible preparation of demonstration materials. Occasionally a special project may be completed by the assistant such as making and firing test tiles.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: The Ceramic Studio Assistant must have previous clay working experience.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE: Working knowledge of ceramic studio equipment. Must lift at least 25lbs.
