Summary, Scope, and Responsibilities
This position provides the subject of study for academic drawing and painting sessions offered by the Art and Visual Culture Department. The model is responsible for striking and holding a variety of poses including, but not necessarily limited to standing, sitting, and reclining, with or without input from participating artists. Poses are nude. |

Qualifications, Requirements, and Responsibilities
Responsibilities
1. Quick poses
Three to five minute poses stressing action, torsion, extension of limbs, and other difficult body positions.
2. Short Poses
Ten to fifteen minute poses similar to above, but less strenuous to hold.
3. Long poses
Ninety minutes or longer poses (with breaks), often stressing contrapposto, multiple planes, or dramatic gestures.
Requirements
Those with previous experience are encouraged to apply, but previous experience is not required.
Reporting
Students work directly with Student Monitors or Academic Professors during figure drawing sessions and report to the Olin Art Center Building Coordinator.
