Summary, Scope, and Responsibilities
The Graphic Designer for Campus Life is responsible for supporting graphics needs for Campus Life and student clubs. The Graphic Designer will work on an as-needed basis, and will be given assignments by Campus Life staff.

Qualifications, Requirements, and Responsibilities
Responsibilities
The Graphic Designer is responsible for:
Maintaining a cohesive and versatile brand for Campus Life
Utilizing this brand in the design, layout, artwork, and color for promotional materials related to the office and its events and programs
Completing design assignments from BCSG-recognized clubs and Campus Life-supported organizations
This includes, but is not limited to, creating club logos, graphics to be used on club merchandise, event promotions, and social media images.
Contributing to the overall creative process driving Campus Life marketing in conjunction with the Social Media Coordinator.
Attending all meetings and training required for the position.
Requirements
Have a strong graphic design background and/or professional aspirations or experience, with minimum Canva-level proficiency. Experience working with Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign, or equivalent platforms, preferred.
Must be organized, responsible, personable, enthusiastic and able to work well with others.
Must be able and willing to work with a diverse group of students and staff.
Must be able to respond to communications within 24 hours, except under special circumstances. These communications may originate from office staff and/or student clubs and organizations.
Should have an exceptional ability to multitask and engage in time management.
Must be able to adhere to established project deadlines.
Should have an awareness of Bates social life, and an interest in events and programming.
Preference will be given to work study students.
Applicants are asked to provide two work samples with their application.
Reporting
The Graphic Designer reports to Campus Life staff. They will work closely with the Social Media Coordinator.
Working Conditions
The Graphic Designer may hold office hours, but will likely complete the majority of their work remotely, on their own time, with some meetings in an office environment.
