SA: Ronj Crew Member (S99877)

Summary, Scope, and Responsibilities

The Ronj Crew Members assist with the daily maintenance and operations of the Ronj coffeehouse.

Main duties:
-Greet guests and check for Bates ID as they enter the Ronj.
-Ensure individual rooms as well as the Ronj as a whole does not go over capacity.
-Engage quickly and politely with guests who are not complying with the college’s COVID-19 policies related to social distancing and masking.
-Assist with cleaning and disinfection of commonly used furniture.
-Assist the Ronj Managers with coordinating and staffing weekly Ronj events.

Ronj Crew Members must have a willingness to learn new skills and a desire to be part of the Ronj family and experience.

Ronj Crew Members take weekly shifts (including rotating shifts) – they must be present and maintain a level of professionalism during these shifts. Please note that shifts are typically 2 hours long; those hired can expect to work about 2 shifts per week.

Ronj Crew Members must be present at any mandatory Ronj meetings or training.

Requirements


Ability to communicate effectively in a customer service setting, willing to embrace challenge and critically problem solve to meet guest needs, willing to engage with and enforce college COVID-19 policies with peers, including maintaining 6’ of distance between individuals and universal masking, and past experience in customer service and/or space monitor positions, will be looked upon favorably, though is not required for this position.

Ronj Crew Members report to Ronj Managers and may also work in coordination with Campus Life staff members.
