
AESOP trips encourage authenticity, connection
The Class of 2030, the third largest in Bates history, gathered to kick off AESOP on Friday, Aug. 28 — the day after move-in day.
Bates Dining, Conferences and Campus Events is the food service provider for the campus, which includes student dining in Commons. Support staff assist in cleaning duties including bussing tables, wiping down counters, sweeping and mopping.
This position calls for someone who has an eye for detail and a friendly and welcoming disposition, capable of working in a fast paced environment. The ability to work well with others from diverse backgrounds and exemplary organizational, communication, and time management skills are a must.

-Bussing and washing tables
-Wiping counters in the dining room
-Sweeping
-Mopping
-Vacuuming
-Restocking silverware, plates, cups, and napkins
-Experience waiting or cleaning in a restaurant setting is desirable but not required.
-A courteous, customer service-oriented attitude
-Reports to Kevin Perry.
-Works closely with other managers on duty, supervisors, and DCCE staff
-Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time.
-Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry equipment up to 35 lbs.
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
