Provide exceptional customer service and dynamic support to members and guests through effective communication. Monitor facility access control and security; perform equipment check out process; assist with laundry services; and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Requirements, and Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Monitor access points and security of Merrill Gym and Alumni Gym
- Serve as a customer service representative of Athletics and provide accurate and necessary information and answer patron inquiries
- Assist with facility opening and/or closing procedures
Complete daily set-up and teardown of open recreation equipment as assigned
- Assist with daily laundering of equipment as scheduled including washing, drying and folding
- Assist with field/court preparation and teardown for athletic team games and practices.
- Complete training and regularly utilize the following software programs: WhenToWork, OneNote, Connect2, GoogleDocs
- Maintain a strong knowledge of, communicate and enforce all guidelines and procedures
- Maintain a safe, enjoyable, secure, and clean environment for members, guests, and staff
- Attend all staff meetings, in-services and trainings
- Uphold the mission and values and be an active representative of the Department of Athletics
-All other duties assigned as by the supervisor and other Athletics staff
Requirements
Flexible schedule; hours include mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays and summer if available
(minimum of 5 weekday hours or two shifts per week)
The ability to effectively monitor and communicate to members, guests, co-workers, and professional
staff while maintaining a high standard for customer service and safety
Punctuality, attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines; Good oral and written communication skills
Indoor and outdoor work required
Ability to lift 30 pounds
Current certifications in American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer and Healthcare
Provider/AED and First Aid is preferred but not required (Athletics will provide trainings)
Weekends scheduled on a rotating basis (not included in 5 weekday hours)

Working Conditions
Work environment can be warm and noisy at times. Also may be required to work outdoors in cold or warm temperatures and weather. Physically demanding and requires the ability to: climb stairs; push, lift and carry heavy load; distinguish colors in accordance with color-coded system; stand for long-durations.
