Summary, Scope, and Responsibilities

Students serving as Digital Marketing Assistants in the position must demonstrate knowledge of the mission and goals of the Bates Center for Purposeful Work and have the desire and skills to creatively inform their fellow students about Purposeful Work and its resources. Digital Marketing Assistants work closely with the Coordinator of Marketing, Operations, and Outreach.

Qualifications, Requirements, and Responsibilities

Responsibilities


Increase general knowledge of Purposeful Work’s philosophy and services, as well as upcoming of specific events and programs. Curate the Instagram @batespurposefulwork. Cultivate a strong student following and engagement with the student body and beyond. Photograph Purposeful Work events (on and off -campus). Create print marketing materials (including flyers and posters). Develop and implement other marketing and outreach as needed (including promotion of the Handshake platform and available on-line resources)

Requirements


Photography skills required, as well as basic photo editing skills (Lightroom or Photoshop). Knowledge of other Adobe Suite programs such as Illustrator or Indesign preferred but not required. Willingness to collaborate with others – especially the other Digital Marketing Assistant/s. Creativity and desire to research and implement new and innovative marketing techniques. Knowledge of instagram required.

Reporting


Reports to Benjamin Conner, Graphic Designer & Communications Coordinator. Works closely with the other Digital Marketing Assistant/s as well as the Purposeful Work Staff (students and professional staff).
