Students serving as Digital Marketing Assistants in the position must demonstrate knowledge of the mission and goals of the Bates Center for Purposeful Work and have the desire and skills to creatively inform their fellow students about Purposeful Work and its resources. Digital Marketing Assistants work closely with the Coordinator of Marketing, Operations, and Outreach. |

Qualifications, Requirements, and Responsibilities
Responsibilities
Increase awareness of Purposeful Work’s philosophy, services, and upcoming events through digital channels. Curate and manage the @batespurposefulwork Instagram account to drive engagement with students and the broader community. Capture and share dynamic content from Purposeful Work events (on and off-campus), including photos, Instagram stories, and reels. Design eye-catching print materials (flyers, posters) and support the creation of digital marketing assets. Promote Purposeful Work resources, such as Handshake, through the PW Weekly newsletter. Assist with commons tabling efforts and contribute to data-driven projects as needed.
Requirements
-Outgoing personality or high comfort level for being photographed/videos and ability to contribute ideas about content creation required
-Ability to generate fast, creative content ideas and quickly pull projects together preferred
-Photography skills and basic photo editing skills (Lightroom or Photoshop) preferred
-Knowledge of Adobe Suite programs such as Illustrator or Indesign or canva preferred but not required.
-Willingness to collaborate with others – especially the other Digital Marketing Assistant/s.
-Creativity and desire to research and implement new and innovative marketing techniques.
-Knowledge of instagram required.
Reporting
Reports to Marisela Flores Pineda, Graphic Designer & Communications Coordinator. Works closely with the other Digital Marketing Assistant/s as well as the Purposeful Work Staff (students and professional staff).
