Summary, Scope, and Responsibilities

Bates Dining, Conferences and Campus Events is the food service provider for the campus, which includes student dining, a retail component, and catering.

This position calls for someone who has an eye for detail, understands food safety and sanitation, and who is able to efficiently organize and put away freight in various locations. The ability to work well with others from diverse backgrounds and exemplary organizational, communication, and time management skills are a must.

Responsibilities


- Assists in receiving product. - Puts away stock in dry storage, coolers and freezers - Properly day dots and rotates product

Requirements


- Proven organizational skills - Ability to process large deliveries of product

Reporting


- Reports to Justin Good - Works closely with Daisy Haskell, Michael Staffenski, and other DCCE staff

Working Conditions


- Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time. - Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry equipment up to 50 lbs. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Ability to work in either very warm or very cold environments
