HCCP: Student Project Coordinator (S9619C)

Summary, Scope, and Responsibilities

 

The Harward Center Student Project Coordinator will be largely responsible for managing several projects at one time and therefore must have the ability to multi-task and work independently without ongoing supervision. He or she must also be a self-starter.

Specific responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:

• The Student Coordinator will work with Harward Center staff on various projects related to community-engaged learning and/or research.

• The Student Coordinator will manage the ongoing archival process for the Center.

• The Student Coordinator will work with Center staff on event management and outreach.

• The Student Coordinator will assist staff with the ongoing inventory and documentation of the Center’s work.

• The Student Coordinator will assist staff as needed with course placements for community-engaged projects.

Responsibilities


Environment: 161 Wood Street (bright, sunny, open office building) Machines & equipment used: PC, scanner, photocopier, fax machine.

Requirements


Required Education: Bates student. Experience: Previous work in the L-A community preferred, but not required.

Reporting


Reports to: Associate Director, Center Operation, Harward Center for Community Partnerships. Coordinates/works closely with: All programs and staff within the Harward Center for Community Partnerships as well as community, staff, and faculty partners.
