SA: Village Club Series (VCS) Crew Member (S99981)

Summary, Scope, and Responsibilities

The Village Club Series is Bates’ weekly Thursday night concert series at 9pm in the Benjamin Mays Center.

Village Club Series (VCS) crew members are students who collaboratively choose VCS artists, handle VCS publicity, determine the trajectory of the series, and set-up and clean-up each show – in particular handling band load-in/out and setting up the sound system and equipment for each show.

In exchange, VCS crew members have the opportunity to enjoy a meal with the performers before the show, and gain experience that will prove highly beneficial in the music/entertainment industry.

Due to the nature of the crew, with an eye toward continuity and community, we are looking primarily applicants who can commit to multiple years. We are seeking a diverse group of crew members in order to bring different perspectives to VCS and to allow people to create connections with people they might not otherwise have met.
