Meet the Cast
Lola Buczkowski ’25 (cast) is in her final year at Bates, majoring in dance and French, originally from Jersey City, New Jersey. Lola began dancing at a young age, when she was first possessed by Demon. Since then, she has expanded her creative interests to include release techniques and experimental approaches to performance. When she is not reading French literature or perfecting her back spiral, Lola enjoys knitting, cooking with friends, and swimming in the ocean.
Lydia Frew ’25 (cast) is a senior dance and psychology double major from Norwich, Vermont. She is a 2021 graduate of Canada’s National Ballet School where she studied for five years in the Professional Ballet Program as well as a Fall ‘23 grad of Broadway Dance Center’s Professional Semester program in NYC. Her personal dance style is heavily influenced by Gaga, Horton, the dark looming figure ever present by her side, and an eclectic variety of modern dance techniques.
Aaron Martinez ’26 (cast) is an economics major and dance minor from New York City. Growing up, theater was a central part of his life, where he immersed himself in dancing, singing, acting, and creating. In addition to his studies, he enjoys cooking, watching reality TV, and painting his dreams with blood. He also loves stargazing and embraces his role as a part-time fashion critic.
Lilah Rousso ’25 (cast) is a politics major and dance minor from London, England. She grew up with a focus on modern, jazz and musical theatre dance and has loved being able to explore a wide range of genres and hone new skills at Bates. The dance department has been an integral part of her Bates experience and she’s grateful for the ability to work with such esteemed choreographers and make brilliant friends. Lilah also continues to try to find ways to intertwine her interests in conflict and security studies, occult rituals, and dance and performance.
Adelle Welch ’25* (cast and choreographer) is a dance and Earth and Climate Science double major from Livingston, Montana. Growing up as a ballerina, she has greatly enjoyed the whimsical and varied performance opportunities of the Bates Dance department from world renowned choreographers including postmodern, contemporary ballet, flamenco etc. In addition to dance, Adelle enjoys the many wonders of Maine, skiing, hiking, roaming abandoned swimming pools, and rock climbing.
*This performance is offered in partial fulfillment of the requirements for a senior thesis in dance.
This project was previously titled “Revenge, I Suppose.”
