Welcome to the Bates VizLab
The Visualization Lab, or VizLab, is a maker-space facility dedicated to exploring new technologies through visual means, and is open to all members of the Bates community. Our support includes faculty research, class workshops, and student projects.

The VizLab is located on the ground floor of Coram Library, on the edge of the Historic Quad. Half of the VizLab is dedicated to physical fabrication, with a number of 3D printers and laser cutters. The other half has a break area and three private rooms, which are used for mixed reality and VR experiences.
We are part of Curricular & Research Computing, which in turn is part of Information & Library Services.
