The VizLab provides support for class projects and faculty research using 3D printing. We also welcome walk-ins when the printers are not in high demand! We have lots of materials to try on our FDM printers, including PLA, PETG, ABS, TPU, and PA.

FDM Printing
Our smallest and most accessible printer is the Bambu Lab A1 mini. It’s all you need to get started with FDM printing!
We also have two Bambu Lab X1E printers, which feature heated/isolated print chambers with particle filtration, multi-filament printing, and a larger print area.
For more information, you can review our intro workshop on the Resources Page, and visit us for a tutorial.

SLA Printing
For SLA printing, we have a Formlabs Form 3+. This printer uses a bath of UV-sensitive resin to create models with incredible detail and strength! Materials are then washed and cured before finishing. SLA printing is more complicated than FDM printing, and requires some additional knowledge to operate. Come talk to us if you’re interested in learning more about SLA printing!
