3D Printing

The VizLab is set up for supporting classes, workshops, faculty research, and individual projects 3D printing. Our FDM printer availability includes the Bambu Lab X1E and A1 Mini printers. We also have a Formlabs 3+ stereolithography printer for resin printing.

Laser Cutting

The Glowforge Pro is a 3D laser printer, meaning it can cut, score, and engrave various materials, including wood and acrylic. It is run through a web-based app, which we maintain access to. It can be used by faculty and students for academic use. We have a library of various Proofgrade materials from Glowforge for open use; for larger/long term projects, we may request that you provide your own materials.

General Making and Finishing

The VizLab is stocked with materials and tools for finishing 3D printed and laser cut objects, including glue, sandpaper, files, dremels, soldering equipment, and more.
